Capitals Alliance Meetings

Capitals Alliance meetings are scheduled approximately every 18 months. Since the launch of the organization in 2001, Alliance gatherings have been hosted on a rotating basis by one of the founding members, beginning with Canberra in 2002.

Capitals Alliance participants last met in March 2010 in Brasilia. Hosted by the Secretariat of Urban Development and the Environment, the meeting focused on Urban Mobility in National Capitals. Delegates from national capitals around the participated in the seventh gathering of the Alliance, which coincided with Brasilia's 50th anniversary celebration.
